jeannels concert on friday is delayed - which is stupid. whatever. next monday ( may 31st) jonsi is playing in cologne, live music hall this video is pretty much saying everything that has to be said:
last night i had tickets for a shakespeare play - the tempest - under the direction of sam mendes. if you have the chance - go and see it! ok, i have a thing for shakespeare plays anyway, especially when they are performed in english, but the stage props were really good, and the acting, and i had a thing for ariel, haha. we are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep.
the hungarian designer set up a cool look for fall and winter 2010; a lot of black, leather, but also a strong red and white. i like her detailed work, not only her new collection is great, but the older ones as well, just look yourself. (i also like her homepage: http://www.doramojzes.com ) jeanne d'arc collection 2010
young designer simon ekrelius, graduated from tillskarar akademin in stockholm, created an incredible good new collection for autumn and winter of 2010 - called stardust. loving how he plays with exaggerated proportions of shoulders and hips and contrasting soft fabrics that most of the time are see-through plus prints of modern art.
these pictures are from the lady macbeth collection of 2010, i think they are pretty cool. i also checked his website not much later, and i must say - i'm impressed. he's mixing punk and renaissance to a look which is modern and provoking, since it contains s&m elements and features of animals as well. it must have been quite an experience to see the show if one minds the video being played right after entering the website. the make-up, the music, the walk backwards - i like!
uuuh, can't wait for this. two acts i really wanted to see all along, one i've already seen, and two that seem pretty decent as well - all this for little money. better be there!
may 20th e-werk, cologne
i truly love this song! last summer i had to watch it every day, cause solely listening to it didn't do it - the combination of visual and music is mesmerizing. oh, summer of 2009, haha.
this video, as well, is precious - just like all the other videos by johannes nyholm - i'll post some later on.
kinda excited to see how miike snow will be welcomed in cologne, since kansas city was sceptical - but it also was 2 years ago so they weren't that well-known like nowadays.
for tomorrow i have a train ticket - weekend ticket - 5 persons can go with it - a trip to nyc anyone? oh, how i'd love to go there, especially after looking at these pictures. i don't know if it's the angle or just löoking at ny's streets so that i like the pictures - who cares? i want to go there - but probably i'll just end up in cologne, which isn't that bad, either. haha. actually i spend half of the day there today - not planned at all, but i won't say no to hanging out and walking through the stadtgarten area even if i am alone. but aww, you know, i'm craving to make a stop at magnolia bakery, oh hell yea, or alice's cupcake
a dress which you can change whenever you like - having the blues? just color it a little brighter. and it couldn't be more individual. especially perfect for lame classes to spend the time more amusing. the only concern about the dutch designer michiel schuurman's dress is that i would be too afraid to color it in a way i don't like. but whatever and a colorful song for a colorful mood follows:
